I used this product for many many years and rely heavily on it for our entire track. The information is accurate and the drawings are accurate. Kohl and Goldstein's book must be in the hands of the groomer while wanting to advance their skills grooming all breeds. It should never be 4-6 weeks out of print. Rating: 5 / 5

You would not believe how heavy and thick this book is 3rd edition. It's like a manual, it has everything in it. This must be the most definitive book ever written on the subject. I need the most current grooming book out there and what it is. It has all the recent races we need to know. The author not only tells you how to groom a breed but even what equipment is needed. The illustrations are accurate and correct, and the photographs are very useful. It is the industry standard and is compulsory for every groomer, here and abroad. This book has every breed. Read the bio of the author, he has taught dog grooming in his own school here in New York for years. Who better then to write a book? Rating: 5 / 5

I think this book is useful and easy to read. The format makes it easy to check if the book is opened. I liked the step-by-step installation - which is very well arranged. There are drawings on each breed mentioned, some designs better than others - but the designs are nice and very helpful. In the most demanding races there are more details on drawings and sometimes from different angles, it was very useful to understand the text. I also liked the part where the introductory material and techniques are described. You should read this section carefully before you start reading about the different breeds, especially if you are a beginner like me. I prefer a more detailed description of certain races more popular than Flatcoated Retriever, Bernese Mountain Dog and other breeds with similar groomingdescriptions in the book on the usual "little things" - the shortening and cut ears and tail, so I ' would have preferred that etching procedures could be mentioned - in addition to clipping - as regards the terrier breeds. The book does not mention, however, he describes "grooming pets, and should not be expected to give results show perfect. What this book lacks in terms of grooming for pets is that there is only one style described for each race. For many pets it may be more attractive to homeowners who do not use much time to groom their dogs to cut the dog in a new way - but for that you can use your imagination or another book, and drawings of each race are useful when discussing how the owner wants his dog groomed. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to start as a groomer, pet or show, or if you are interested and want to groom your own dogs and perhaps help some friends with grooming. Rating: 4 / 5

Just what I expected. This book has all the info I was looking for and more. But that's what I've come to expect when doing business with Amazon Rating: 5 / 5

A book of quality basic for beginners, but for cleaners peak, not so much. Some reasons are off and there is some misinformation in certain breeds. Perhaps if this book were updated to make it more relevant and marketable. Rating: 3 / 5
