We have several large dogs with long hair, with lots of undercoat. I had a similar brush that has no self-esteem, and it worked fine, but I had to use a comb every few strokes to clean hair. It was a pain when I try to keep a dog standing in for me, but who thinks that every time I stop the grooming session is over because my hands were tied with the cleaning brush. Now I can keep one hand on the dog at all times. Simply press the button, wipe or shake the hair and keep brushing. I recommend buying a rake also good if you have a dog with undercoat (rake first, then brush with the brush). Having the right grooming tools are so many expenses, especially when you compare the cost of tools with the cost of one session of professional grooming. Rating: 5 / 5

This is a great Slicker brush that works really well. Feels good in the hand and the self cleaning part is a great feature! I highly recommend it, it’s really great for our border collie has a lot of hair! Rating: 5 / 5

Just use a brush like this to the vet because my dog has started sheading like crazy. It was a little stressed. This brush has done wonders, but it was impossible to remove the hair. Walking through the pet store I picked up the brush and self-cleaning is soooo helpful. I used to have a hairbrush paddle style that sent flying in all directions. This brush does not do that at all. I just brush my boyfriend in the living room and no hair in the wind! yay! Ah, the self-cleaning. I can not say enough. I can brush her teeth more often and do not make a big production. If your dog has a ventilated under the cloak get this brush. You will not be dissapointed:) Rating: 5 / 5
