how can i cut dog’s tail (like maltese) ? or is there any video how i can do that? i couldnt find it on the internet. and last time i cut it by twisting the tail and so the hair was really thick. would that destroy the scissor?
omg i am NOT talking about actually “cutting” im talking about making the tail hair shorter is what i meant.

With a Maltese you just let the hair grow long on their tails.
The only breed I know of where you twist the hair on the tail to cut it is the poodle… by gathering the hair, twisting it and cutting the end it helps get a better ball shape without as much free-hand scissor work.
If you need to just trim the hair take your index and second finger and slide it along the hair from the base to tip. Stop sliding just before where you want to cut.
Cut along the end of your finger to get a straight cut, this also gives you a guide to make sure you don’t nick the dogs tail.
ADD – Don’t fret, I asked a question a while back about my dogs ears and everyone automatically assumed I was talking about cropping them and went off their heads at me telling me I was cruel… I wasn’t talking about cropping at all *sigh*
